B2B OUTDOOR-LIVING SOURCING / AUSTRALIA

Outdoor-living product sourcing for Australian retailers and trade buyers.

The Balcony Shop helps retailers, trade buyers and suppliers explore outdoor-living product opportunities with a practical, design-aware sourcing lens for the Australian market.

With a background in design, a long-standing interest in outdoor spaces and hands-on importing experience, Graham helps turn a product brief into a more informed sourcing conversation.

01 / THE OUTDOOR-LIVING LENS

A specialist interest. A broader sourcing conversation.

Graham specialises in outdoor living: the furniture, proportions and practical details that help people use balconies, courtyards and alfresco spaces more comfortably.

That perspective can begin with an alfresco table, durable outdoor seating or a compact balcony setting. It does not end there. The important starting point is the product opportunity, the buyer and the Australian market it needs to serve.

THE BALCONY SHOP STANDARD

Quality is more than what is visible at first glance.

In outdoor furniture, the important details are not always the obvious ones. A piece can look good in a photograph, but experienced buyers also consider the materials, construction, comfort, proportion and the parts that sit underneath the finish.

Graham brings that practical attention to each product discussion. It is the difference between simply finding an item and understanding whether it has the quality, purpose and commercial potential to belong in the Australian market.

Why The Balcony Shop
02 / A DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT OUTDOOR SPACE

It started with the balconies no one was using.

With a background in landscaping and paving, Graham has always paid attention to how people use space. Later, while spending long hours on the road, he noticed balconies across growing urban areas sitting empty, holding clothes airers or becoming a place for things that had nowhere else to go.

He saw a missed opportunity: these spaces could be treated as real rooms.

In 2009, Graham travelled to China to find furniture suited to balcony-sized spaces. The idea was unfamiliar to many suppliers at the time, but the search developed into a deeper knowledge of sourcing, product quality and what Australian outdoor spaces need.
